Bhutan - Special Interests
Since the Spring of 2002 I have been fortunate to have multiple opportunities to travel to Bhutan, initially as a tourist and eventually to study Bhutanese Traditional Medicine and offer acupuncture services at the National Traditional Medicine Hospital as well as the country's major allopathic referral hospital, Jigme Dorji Wangchuk National Referral Hospital. We also created an opportunity to train staff at the Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre near Thimphu, Bhutan in adjunct acupuncture therapy for drug and alcohol detoxification.
